Ok so this is actually pretty dramatic even for me but bless librarians because this is hard. I know I have digital books and music everywhere, but I figured fixing the books would an easier task. I was wrong. From Humble Bundles, to sorted topics taken from friends, stuff from college, and trying to backup my kindle. There is a lot of material here. ## How to Fix the Problem? I truly have no clue. I figured I would create a table in Obsidian to track what I have downloaded to dropbox and then as I try to organize things I'll note how items can be grouped. Right now I'm thinking about grouping things by publisher. Sounds pretty crazy but might work. I'm not really enjoy grouping things by topic. It was a method I used in college because I thought it was better than grouping things by class. ## Insert random introspection The hardest part of growing up is finding the systems that help you stay sane and/or get to the next goal in life. My systems aren't falling apart but I can see the cracks. I recently got a boox tablet to try to get serious about not buying physical books. I was buying technical books because I didn't have a big enough device which is honestly a crap excuse. Now I'm trying to change that. With the certs that I want to get, research I want to get back into, pentesting, and just over all going all in on being the person I was all through college (I'm a super nerd if you didn't know). With all this sappy stuff being said I need to do the things that helps keep my eyes healthy while I keep my brain sharp. The one problem I do see down the line is having too much hardware.... *falls on the floor laughing*...ok that was a lie. I love hardware and as a person who tinkers I'm ok with managing my hardware. If this is the last tablet I buy I'd be ok since I like it so far. Anyway let's in this talking about the most important part... ## Backup Plan? Per usual All roads lead back to my NAS. lol This is becoming a major bottle neck I think. I will need to explore backblaze or something similar before I expand things. I'm getting into dangerous water here and as I look at how I want the next 3 months to go, I know I need to have layers of redundancy.
