New Goals

It's a new year and all that fun jazz. I figured I'd publish what my goals are for this platform and my security life, SO in no particular order let's do this

• Getting a certification: This has been on my goal list for like 2 years and this year I mean it. I want to get my network+ or security+ cert as stepping stones to the CISSP.
• Attend Black Hat: I think I'll financially be in a place to make this one happen. I don't know what to expect but I'm excited that it is actually within reach.
• Give a talk: I would love to give a talk on a random topic that I am working on. I'm not sure what that looks like just yet but I'm working on CFPs that are good for beginners.
• More hardware projects: So hardware doesn't always fall into security for me but I want to do more of it. I have an idea of a few home automation and server-y things I want to get done so I'm hoping to get them done while streaming on online and publishing the code.

I think these are all my major goals for the year. If we are being honest I always fail at these goals so I'm not sure why I make a list every year. This year I'm a bit more relaxed with my list. I'm not going to push myself too hard and I'll just let the good things happen.
